From Gallé to Lalique, for 25 years before the beginning of the First World War, the popularity of glass art in France grew at a dizzying pace. At the 1900 International Exhibition, the transparency and the radiance of glass artworks dazzled the public and critics. Dominique Morel accompanies these images with a lively and precise commentary, rich in references to the writings of the times. Technical insights combined with historical information shed light on the shimmering and magical world of these "Poems of Crystal".
